The Jules Verne Circus is located on Place Longueville in Amiens. Built in 1889 by the architect Émile Ricquier, it was called the Municipal Circus of Amiens until 2003.
The Cirque Jules-Verne has been listed as a historic monument since October 29, 1975 for its facades and roofs.
The largest permanent circus in France, the Cirque Jules-Verne has 1,650 seats in a circular setting or 1,400 seats in stage mode.
Its track is 13 m in diameter, the regulatory distance allowing a horse to run at a gallop at the end of a lunge line.
Since 2003, the Cirque has offered a full season of circus arts every year.
As part of its programming, it also regularly hosts other live shows, concerts, one-man shows, etc.
