The Doullens Citadel is the oldest fortified town in France, built before Vauban was even born. It was used for five centuries, first as a fortress and then as a prison. Today, the SOMME PATRIMOINE cultural project aims to share the history of the citadel with as many people as possible, but also to raise awareness about the preservation and conservation of built heritage.
