The tomb of Jules Verne located in the Madeleine cemetery in Amiens is the pride of the city.
Listed as a historic monument, it is an integral part of Amiens' heritage.
Jules Verne was buried on March 28, 1905. Two years later, the sculptor Albert Roze built a funeral monument in his honor, depicting him breaking his tombstone, his eyes scanning the sky and his hand raised towards eternity.
This work was named “Towards Immortality and Eternal Youth”.
